Review of Cape Coral, Florida

Tourist trap ready to offer you little value
Star Rating - 4/7/2024
95% of Cape Coral is a lifeless & soulless money-making area, yet the local hypocrisy goes as far as blaming every issue on the recent hurricane, which one has literally nothing to do with mostly man-made circumstances.

Nothing beats looking at a satellite view of the area you're interested in to spot potential obvious red flags as it happens to be the case with Cape Coral.

After dozens of miles driving around anywhere in any direction or 'neighborhood' outside of a very average small downtown area, all urban design and everything in it remain incredibly bland and uniform:

Endless cloned residential areas with endless 4 way stop intersections on straight narrow roads where you cannot go faster than 30-40 mph nor for longer than one of two "blocks". Cape Coral is a real estate investment bubble with low quality housing construction everywhere and zero urban design. Too many trees have been cut down that didn't need to be and green spaces are lacking everywhere.

Count 30-35 min from NW Cape Coral to any bridge to Fort Myers. Increasing congestion and terrible drivers. The cost of living here is high due to Cape Coral being a highly conservative flood zone designed to suck money out of families and retired people's pockets. Did I mention no beaches, only swamps and mangroves?
